The overwhelming problems people face in the course of their lives can frequently lead them to commit acts they would never consider under normal circumstances. I enjoy writing stories of young women struggling desperately for happiness, for some way to save self-respect—if not virginity. I focus on problems facing modern society and reflect on our times.
